/ˌɪntɪˈɡreɪʃən dɛt/The cost of accumulated upgrades.
Definition
The backlog of cultural and technical work created when Cathedral
releases happen faster than the Bazaar can absorb them. When a new model
drops before the previous one is mastered, organizations suffer from
"Feature Fatigue" and "Workflow Instability." The temptation is to
constantly chase the latest model ("Model Hopping"), but this prevents
the deep "Scaffolding" required for true productivity.
The Upgrade Paradox
Every new release promises to solve the problems of the last one. In
reality, it resets the clock on mastery. Constant upgrades are a form
of sabotage for deep work.

Field Note: We finally got GPT-3 integrated into the
legal workflow on Tuesday. On Wednesday, GPT-4 came out and broke
everything. We are not building; we are treading water.
