Symbiotic Web

/sɪm.baɪˈɒt.ɪk wɛb/ Web4 Paradigm
Definition The operational paradigm of Web4. A network state where digital and biological systems (humans, AIs, environment) are structurally coupled in mutually beneficial loops. In the Symbiotic Web, data isn't just "content"—it is nutrient for the ecosystem.

Beyond Parasitism

Web2 was largely parasitic: platforms extracted data from users without fair exchange, treating attention as a resource to be mined. The Symbiotic Web mimics mycorrhizal networks, where fungi (servers) and plants (users) exchange distinct resources (carbon for phosphorus) to the benefit of both.

Living Infrastructure

The Symbiotic Web is "alive." It uses Living APIs that adapt to user needs, Digital Spores that propagate information organically, and Stewards who tend the garden rather than just owning the land.
